Suitcase Theory in a nutshell
Every now an then, you really need to upgrade your travel suitcase. Here are a few ideas that prompts this suitcase theory I have going on… Although it is annoying to remember what your new bag looks like, it is better to have something that isn’t damaged and will still function. Make sure the closures like zippers are in good working condition and those wheels roll smoothly. It can be a real hassle if you luggage falls out, wasting time trying to open your bag to grab something or getting onto a moving walkway while struggling to keep your bag straight.
There are all kinds of travel bags but I tend to go for a hard shell to minimize anything that may break. I’m also loving the ones with a USB charging port built in so I don’t have to worry about finding a port at the airport or worry about a skimmer stealing my information.
As my suitcase theory goes, I also like picking one in a bright color that I haven’t seen as a regular hue on the belt to make it easier to find among all those black bags passing me by. To make it more convenient for you, pick a bright ribbon that you can easily transfer to any new bags so you can consistently recognize your new luggage. Mine recently went from aqua to purple so I had to keep reminding myself to look for my upgraded luggage instead of the older bag.
On a side note, if you are looking for a children’s bag to bring, I personally would skip it. Although they are cute and seeing your kid act all professional with their own mini set of luggage is adorable, you may have to pay baggage fees. They don’t hold much but can still be heavy for those little arms to pull around as their carry on. Just pack them a backpack filled with activities and snack to keep them happy and you should be fine.
And something to remind you of travel at home, check out this adorable bud vase that looks like a stack of suitcases! It is so cute! #Christmas present anyone?
Just my suitcase theory. What is yours?
