Al Maha Suites
All of the villas at Al Maha have spacious bathroom facilities. They are also equipped with air conditioning, internet, mini bar, tea & coffee and a wooden deck with deckchairs.
There are four categories of suites. They range from a one-bedroom Bedouin suite to the three-bedroom Presidential suite. All of the suites are lavishly decorated with authentic and rare handcrafted Arabian furnishings. Admire the antiques and artifacts set throughout. All suites also have a private temperature-controlled swimming pool that provides endless view of the Arabian Desert from your private pool deck. The Presidential suite even has a spacious lounge with own extensive kitchen, dining facilities and residential quarters for guests’ private staff.
Dining
There are many different options for you when you get hungry. You can choose the privacy of your pool deck. Or if you want to be more social, dine at ‘Al Diwaan’. It is and alfresco experience on the veranda with spectacular views of the conservation reserve. They serve delicious international and indigenous delicacies. Just a level above the Al Diwaan Restaurant is the Hajar Terrace Bar. They have loungers and cocktail tables. It is also an ideal place for you to take high tea.
Spa
The Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is a small luxury desert resort that is situated in the middle of the Arabian Desert. The team really knows their stuff and you can rest assured, that during your stay they’ll take care of all your needs.
Even the location is amazing for the spa. It is surrounded by indigenous flora and cascading water features. Once you walk in, the Timeless Spa treatments are available in your choice of single or double massage rooms. You can also go outside to the main pool which overlooks the stunning desert horizon. The Timeless Spa also features a gym, sauna, steam room and inside jacuzzi. My favorite feature in the desert though is the ice-cold plunge pool.
Activities
There are so many different things to do at this resort. You get two complimentary on-site activities per night’s stay if you have the all-inclusive package. Just something to keep in mind when you are pricing out this resort. You can pick from traditional desert pursuits, such as falconry, camel treks, horse riding and archery. For more excitement, try an outing in a rugged four-wheel drive vehicle. For something more peaceful, the guided nature walks offer a quieter and more informative way to experience the desert.
